QUICK GUIDELINES |
- QUICK GUIDELINES FOR
SUBMITTING MUSIC, What works with us and what does not -
PLEASE READ!

General / MP3:
- We don't often work from MP3
files as source material. We prefer the original CDs
so that we can rip the bit rates that we need for specific
uses.
- If we do agree to use an
MP3 for a source file, we prefer a 44 KHz / 320, 198, 160
or 128 (minimum) kbps file.
- We will not accept MP3s
via email!!! We will only download MP3 files of
artists we already know or are playing (or have played in
the past).

DO's:
- The BEST/QUICKEST way to
get your music reviewed and possibly added to our programs
and/or MP3 Coolstreams is to SEND US A CD.

- If you would like us to
tell you if we think we would play your music or not
before you send out a CD (especially if you are overseas
from the U.S.), you can send a link to a page that has the
songs or samples of them. This is slower since we
only have time to do reviews like this occassionally, and
some times we just can't get time to review all such
requests. But remember that the larger promoters are
sending us stacks of CDs in the mail, and its simply
easier to pop in an actual CD that arrives on our desk
than to search it out on the web.
- If we have already played
your music in the past, do send us your new (or older)
releases on CD.
- feel free to submit two or
three copies of a CD, if we play from it we'll also
feature it in our
Members Premiums section to the fine people who
support us and allow us to be here and operate the web
site!

DONT's:
- Don't send us long wordy
"Press Releases" via email - we don't have time to read
them all. This also goes for services that offer to
submit Press Releases via email to us for you, etc., they
probably have added us to their list without asking us,
and we don't read them.
- Don't send us unsolicited
MP3 attachments, we won't open anything we don't know
about.
- If you are offering
"sideloads" via Live365, we cannot add sideloads to most
of our primary playlists since we originate our streams
live!

There's no jive here, this is not one of those sites that
charges you a few bucks to play your CD to nobody in
particular. This is Radio like it should be (and used to
be). If one of our producers likes your CD, they'll play
it. That's it.

CoolStreams is not an "Indie Only" site! But that's
exactly why it is of benefit to the best Indie artists!
CoolStreams producers will mix in the best of Independent
artists with better known and even mainstream artists, giving
the indie artist exposure to a much wider audience than indie
only avenues!

Be patient! We don't just concentrate on what's new
this week. if we like your music, we will play it when
we can, which could be now, and/or in the future.

Some programs on CoolStreams are
broadcast on one or more radio stations. Check the
details of each program series.

Our producers have played too many independent
releases to list them in one place, so use the Artist Index
Pages below to see artist names, and use the genre guides to
take you to the program groups and series' that you are
interested in and look around.
