Scott's Blog Notes: This is Garrison Starr's fourth album, her second on Vanguard Records, and the follow up to 2004's "Airstreams & Satellites." I'm still warming to Starr, her voice is pleasant and her enthusiasm shines through, and I hope to hear her develop further with better songs on future releases. Featured here are my picks for the three best off her latest "The Sound Of You And Me." Fresh Cuts, October 1 - 14, 2006:
	Feature Album: Slant - A Thin Line
Scott's Blog Notes: From the Slant press release materials: "The band has been featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Lenno, become a favorite on Sqizz XM radio, was a featured artist on KRWN (New Mexico), and most recently have been profiled by MTVDees!" That almost got it put into the 'later' pile (badges? We don't need no stinking badges...), but it made it to the player anyway, and several of the tracks were appealing enough to warrant more consideration, so here we go (give the 1st one 75 seconds past the opening). Some are catagorizing this as retro-Grunge, which is fine, but we'll add some of these tracks into Prog also, it's a pretty close call (to Metal Prog) there. Whatever you want to call it, it is loud! So is Ty Tabor and The American Wake, recent or soon to be features still on the playlist, plus others to calm you down in between.
