Heaven & Earth Band - Journeyman guitarist Smith Stuart
and the veteran crew of Heaven And Earth Band are making
music and making it happen. Hear how in this 10
September 2006 interview. Heaven & Earth, a blues based
rock n roll band formed in 1996 by British guitarist
Stuart Smith, has an album entitled Stuart Smith's
Heaven & Earth which features some of rock's top
vocalists such as
Bon Jovi's
Richie Sambora, Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow) and Glenn
Hughes from
Deep
Purple. The group is classic rock reborn.
-
The Henry Road - The Henry Road has a serious side and a
comic side. Rather like Thomas Dolby. Rather like Frank
Zappa. This interview focuses on the silly side and the
musical adventures of Loggy Log.

Hobert
Europe & Bionic Chronic -
In this January 24, 2006 encounter with Detroit's jesters
of the digital hardcore scene, Bionic Chronic and Hobert
Europe erupt into the studio to promote an event. In the
course of the goofing we hear about their international
feud with Duran Duran and the very liberal policies of
their record label Pedophobic Records.
-
Doug Hoekstra -
(3rd Interview) This June 2005 interview with Doug
Hoekstra is about "Su Casa, Mi Casa: The Official Live
Bootleg" (Headroom Records UK). Hoekstra was the first
interview guest ever on the Outsight Radio Hours, so it is
good to catch up with and chat about British bedsheet
designs and more.
-
Doug Hoekstra (2nd Interview) turned to home recording and
basically alone, with some help from George Marinelli
(Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, James Taylor) record this
album. The music has the intimacy and revealing nature of
a singer-songwriter album done alone, with no prying eyes
and in the comforts of home. This intimacy form is the
ideal conduit for these songs ripe with emotion. For,
while distance lends enchantment, proximity emphasizes
warmth and communication. Thus we are introduced to the
personality of the artist as he muses upon a list child in
Sao Paolo, Brazil ("Theresa") and offers such sublime
simile as "Like single drops of rain each with a single
sound" from the song "Crawling out from Under". Such great
lines as this seasons Hoesktra's songs. Lines like that,
fusing the group with the individual are like Captain
Beefheart's "ice cream for crow", it's black and white at
the same time. Subtly arranged of understated melodies,
the sparse music backing brings the lyrics into sharp
relief on this exquisite album. Doug Hoekstra, who was the
first interview guest ever on the Outsight Radio Hours,
returns to talk about this album.

professional wrestling and his reaction to the recent

well as the professionalism needed. Erik also tells us
of his bond to Thailand and the charity he supports
there.
