Scott's Blog Notes: The second album from pianist Karen Marie Garrett, as with her first, produced by Will Ackerman. As I mentioned for an earlier feature on Will Ackerman on Ambient Caverns (here), 'original Windham Hill label founder Will Ackerman, more than any other acoustic guitarist, fits the sound of "Ambient Caverns" with his haunting, reflective and contemplative guitar soundings.' In producing "It's About The Rose" for Karen Marie Garrett, the same mood descriptors, "haunting, reflective and contemplative," are equally ascribed to many of the beautiful piano selections here. We also find those plus the rest of the selections here suitable for Meditation, Relaxation & Inspiration, and the tracks featured here this time are more from that perspective, plus you'll hear most of the selections from "It's About The Rose" playing in our Coolstream of the same name (Meditation, Relaxation & Inspiration). Scott's Blog Notes: Its rap, its trance, its Ambient, no - its Spiral System! Spiral System is London duo Joe Crisp, percussionist, and Cliff Ovendon, guitarist. After 10 years of collaborations and projects involving co-writing and production, these former session musicians who met while recording at Real World now work together out of Spiral Studio sin West London. "In Your Dreams" is the first solo album resulting from this long standing musical partnership. "In Your Dreams" draws on the many influences and flavours of the huge variety of musical formas that Joe and Cliff are exposed to at home in London.
