Scott's Blog Notes: Gary Schnitzer was a titled member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in New York, and was also a concertmaster (first chair violinist) of the internationally acclaimed Mantovani Orchestra for a couple of their national tours [strange but true: I grew up hearing Mantovani often and I still love those original Mantovani arrangements! - Scott].  Gary eventually developed his own new style of classical-oriented sounds incorporating swing, jazz, and simply romantic pop music. "Melodia" is Gary Schnitzer's seventh album, with a large symphonic style sound. While most of these tracks will be at home on our "New Age Classical" Themed version of Cool Age, several, including the beautiful "Ice Lake" leading off our set here, and the others on this playlist, will also be in the MRI Coolstream as well.
