Outsight Radio Interview: The
Stepbrothers
In
2001 Mike Mariconda (Raunch Hands, Devil Dogs) decided
after an 8-year absence from playing music that enough
was enough. He joined with Sean “Sonny” Morales
(Titz), Pat Pestorius (Stingers), Jeff Linton (Damn
Times), and Matt Smith (White Heat) to be The
Stepbrothers. The Stepbrothers full-length "Baby It's
Over", recorded at Sweatbox Studios, and produced by
Mike Mariconda, is another excellent rock and roll
album from Licorice Tree Records. In this interview,
Mike discusses the switching from being producer to
being a production and that absolute lack of any
connection between his previous group Raunch Hands and
the '60s Epic comedy bluegrass ensemble of the same
name.
